The ninth edition of the Raïm Wine Fest arrives in force at Parc de la Marc, where visitors will be able to taste the wines of 39 wineries of Mallorca, a sample of the richness and diversity of the island’s wine industry
The Vi de la Terra Mallorca traveling festival was born two years ago with a clear objective: to bring the wines produced by Mallorcan wineries to a diverse, young and family audience. A product of the land, the result of the efforts of families who have been betting on the world of wine for generations, with consolidated brands, together with newer wineries, of young winemakers, who have launched their own project. This diversity is what Raïm offers, edition after edition. And in Palma it comes with more strength than ever, as we will have the presence of 37 wineries from Mallorca, a figure that triples that of previous editions. Overall, those attending the Raïm Wine Fest to be held at the Parc de la Mar on November 16 will be able to taste more than a hundred references, including red, white and rosé wines.
The direct contact with the wineries is a key part of the festival. “For small wineries, like ours, the Raïm Wine Fest is an opportunity to get in touch with people” explains Antoni Sans from Karretània ”people get to know you, taste your wines and, if they like them, they remember you and talk about it with their friends. Palma is a big place, where there will be many people who will know that we exist and that we make good wines. It allows us, at the end, to promote a responsible consumption, that people know the wines of Mallorca and that they see that they are different from others”. Andrés Gelabert from Bodegues Àngel is convinced that “the Raïm de Palma will be a success, because it is the perfect combination of Mallorcan wine, gastronomy and live music. And so it has demonstrated in the different towns where it has passed”.
As a quality brand, all the wines of the wineries that are part of Vi de la Terra Mallorca are made exclusively with local roots, which gives them uniqueness and a very important link with the territory. They are the spearhead of an economic sector that is vital for our country: the IGP of Vi de la Terra Mallorca brings together 80 wineries and more than 300 winegrowers, with a vineyard surface area of some 1,800 hectares in production. Together, the wineries that are part of Vi de la Terra Mallorca represent more than 60% of the wine produced in Mallorca.
Next November 16th, the Raïm Wine Fest will be again a great wine showcase thanks to the presence of the wineries Can Xanet, Karretània, Tianna Negre, Vinyes-celler Sebastià Pastor, Castell Miquel, Bodegues Can Vidalet, Binigrau, Bodega Ava Vi, Bodegues J. L. In this ninth edition the Raïm Wine Festival will combine, once again, the richness and variety of our wines with music, local gastronomy and food trucks, as well as games, storytelling and workshops for children. It will open at 1 pm until 1 am in the morning at the Parc de la Mar. Access is free, with limited capacity.
