Over 15,000 People Welcome the Raïm Wine Fest in Palma

A resounding success for the ninth edition of the traveling Vi de la Terra Mallorca festival at Parc de la Mar, which this Saturday attracted families and young audiences alike with more than 100 wine selections from 39 wineries across Mallorca, complemented by live music, gastronomic offerings, and children’s activities.

Right on schedule, the Raïm Wine Fest opened its doors at 1 PM on Saturday at Parc de la Mar, extending the grand wine celebration until 1 AM. By midday, numerous families began arriving to explore the extensive wine selection from 39 wineries across the island, offering over 100 varieties of red, white, and rosé wines. This showcase highlighted the richness and quality of Mallorca’s locally produced wines, enjoyed by more than 15,000 attendees.

As always, the Raïm festival featured a wide range of culinary options, with the addition of three new enogastronomic workshops led by three exceptional pairs of sommeliers and chefs: Miquel Serra and Josep Juhé; Tomeu Arbona and Josep Avellà; and Ariadna Salvador and Georgia Scaramella. These workshops aimed to showcase the multiple possibilities and nuances of Mallorca’s local grape varieties—Mantonegro, Gorgollassa, Giró Ros, Prensal Blanco, and Callet—used to create unique wines found nowhere else in the world.

Another major attraction of the event was the live music from a central stage. Performances began with Pitxorines, followed by Wine DJs, Cacao, the Menorcan band Avalanx, Chitowsky, and Aina Losange, who closed the festival. As evening fell, the stage drew a large young crowd eager to enjoy the grand wine festival alongside a stellar musical lineup.

The Raïm Wine Fest arrived in Palma after two years of touring various towns in Mallorca under the Vi de la Terra Mallorca designation, visiting locations such as Costitx, Deià, Portocolom, Porreres, Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, and Pollença. The event is supported by the Palma City Council and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Natural Environment.

For Palma’s mayor, Jaime Martínez, “this was a highly anticipated event. The Raïm Wine Fest is a reference point for viticulture in Mallorca. This is the ninth edition, the first in Palma, and we hope it’s the first of many. It’s a pleasure to continue supporting gastronomy, culture, tradition, uniqueness, and local products—Raïm Wine Fest represents all this and much more. We want to be part of their journey and are thrilled to host them here.”

For Agriculture, Fisheries, and Natural Environment Minister Joan Simonet, “it’s very important that Vi de la Terra Mallorca comes to Palma, where the largest consumer base is. Palma residents should get to know Mallorcan wines and these significant local varieties, which can only be found here. Especially young people, who are the future consumers.”

Magdalena Mesquida, president of Vi de la Terra Mallorca, remarked, “coming to Palma was a milestone, as it has a high concentration of not only people but also gastronomic offerings. Our winemakers want their wines to be recognized not only abroad but also at home.”

Vi de la Terra Mallorca continues its efforts to bring Mallorcan wines to the entire island and is already preparing for a new edition of the Raïm festival in Part Forana.
